Account Executive/Assistance Vice President

The Account Executive is responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of a portfolio of captive clients, consisting of single parent captives, group captives and reinsurance companies. He or She should develop and foster long-term strategic relationships with a portfolio of clients, and are responsible for retaining, servicing and expanding clients. He or She is an established, independent individual contributor, whose work has a direct impact on the Marsh Cayman Team's overall performance and results. What is in it for you? • Being part of the Marsh McLennan businesses; a premier global brand with strong financial results. • Competitive salary with full comprehensive benefits programs including: health insurance, life insurance, STD/LTD, generous pension contributions, employee assistance program, generous paid time off for vacation, sick, company holidays and time to give back to your community via volunteer opportunities and other programs. • Working with the most innovative and respected insurance colleagues in the industry We will count on you to: • Develop and foster long-term strategic relationships with a portfolio of clients, and are responsible for retaining, servicing and expanding clients. • Collaborate with the Marsh Cayman Team to provide comprehensive service solutions that meet exceed the client's needs. • Prepares or performs technical review of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS • Manages the financial audit process for clients with the auditors • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with clients, other service providers, regulators and colleagues • Coordinates timely and knowledgeable responses to questions and requests from clients • Functions pertaining to regulatory compliance by clients • Participates in and coordinates client meetings, including presenting at Board Meetings • Assist colleagues in relation to Fee budget, Fee negotiations & expansion of services to clients • Assist colleagues in the preparation of licence applications for new insurance companies and develop relationships with prospects and new clients. • Participate in local and global Marsh working groups with regard to various pertinent projects, including best practices working groups • What you need to have: • Internationally recognized professional accounting qualification with public accounting experience (CPA, ACA, CA) • Minimum of a 2 years of recent captive management experience or insurance industry experience • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to Board of Directors at meetings in both Cayman and elsewhere (requiring travel outside office hours) • Basic knowledge of Cayman Islands insurance law, regulations, rules and regulatory statements of guidance • Familiarity with international regulatory standards for the insurance industry is preferred • Strong organizational skills • Ability to work as part of a team & willingness and ability to work outside regular office hours • Strong knowledge of captive industry and insurance accounting What makes you stand out? • Audit experience • Minimum of 2 years of recent supervisory or managerial experience • Ability to co-ordinate, participate and lead client meetings • Ability to research complex matters independently • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and to multitask
