We offer a unique split accommodation inventory catering to both short-term tourism stays and long-term full-time residences. Our unit mix includes 1, 2, 3, and 4-bedroom units, in addition to a range of public areas, including the lobby, gym, laundry room, commercial offices, and all back-of-house areas.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to oversee the cleanliness, maintenance, and organization of all guest accommodations, public spaces, and back-of-house areas within Governors Village. The Assistant Housekeeping Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and service for both short-term and long-term residents, contributing to an exceptional living experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Team Management:
• Lead and manage a team of housekeeping staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Develop schedules, assignments, and work plans to ensure efficient cleaning operations.
• Foster a positive and motivated work environment among housekeeping staff.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
• Oversee the daily cleaning of all guest accommodations, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Ensure that all cleaning activities meet or exceed established cleanliness standards.
• Monitor inventory and order cleaning supplies as needed.
Quality Control:
• Conduct regular inspections of all areas to maintain quality control and identify areas for improvement.
• Address guest complaints or concerns related to housekeeping promptly and effectively.
Safety and Compliance:
• Enforce safety guidelines and compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
• Develop and maintain housekeeping procedures and protocols to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Budget Management:
• Assist in the development and management of the housekeeping department budget.
• Control costs through efficient resource utilization and procurement.
Guest Satisfaction:
• Monitor guest feedback and promptly address any housekeeping-related concerns or requests.
• Strive to ensure a delightful living experience for all residents and short-term guests.
• Implement strategies to continuously improve guest satisfaction.
• Ensure all operations align with LQA (Leading Quality Assurance) standards to provide exceptional service quality.
Vendor Management:
• Collaborate closely with the contracted third-party vendor to ensure seamless integration.
• Supervise their performance and maintain a harmonious working relationship.
• Ensure consistent adherence to cleanliness standards and contractual obligations.
Communication:
• Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to ensure seamless operations.
• Maintain open and effective communication with guests and residents regarding housekeeping services.
Special Projects:
• Plan and execute deep cleaning schedules of long-term tenants.
• Manage seasonal maintenance tasks and special projects aimed at enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal and cleanliness of the property.
• Coordinate with other departments as needed to ensure project success.
• Manage housekeeping maintenance tasks, including preventative unit maintenance and upkeep such as FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) replacement and repairs.
Report Generation:
• Prepare regular reports on housekeeping activities, including performance metrics, inventory levels, and compliance status.
• Present these reports to management for review and action.
• Utilize data to drive continuous improvement in housekeeping operations.
Staffing and Scheduling:
• Liaise with the contracted housekeeping vendor to coordinate staffing schedules.
