Carpenter We are seeking a dependable Carpenter to deliver high-quality workmanship. The Carpenter will be responsible for rebuilding roof’s structure and negotiating with suppliers and working with other specialists on roofing projects. Responsibilities include: Ability to select lumber by size and strength to suit each job, sourcing wood to suit the customer’s budget and style. Calculate the number of fasteners required for each roof. Liaise with clients, suppliers and other construction professionals. Ability to read blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects and building code recommendations. Inspect and replace damaged frameworks or other structures such as roofing frames and rafters. Manage construction materials, tools and equipment. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to safety and health regulations. Ensure roofing structures are level, square and securely assembled. Qualification and Skills High school graduate Minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience Valid driver’s license Creativity and design skills Experience working with other professionals on a construction site Excellent work ethic required Must be able to use hand and power tools such as drills, sanders, saws and nail guns Must be comfortable climbing ladders and scaffoldings
