Cashier/Inventory Clerk

Cashier & Customer Service Duties • Checkout Operations: Scan products, weigh items, itemize selections, and process cash, credit, debit, or digital payments using a point-of-sale (POS) terminal. • Customer Support: Greet customers, answer product questions, handle returns or exchanges, and pack merchandise into bags or boxes. • Register Balancing: Open and close the cash register, count drawer cash balances, and report any discrepancies at the end of a shift. Inventory & Stock Control Duties • Receiving & Unpacking: Unload incoming shipments, inspect goods for damage, and compare packing slips or vendor invoices against actual delivered items. • Shelving & Merchandising: Restock sales floor shelves, display cases, and racks, arranging goods neatly according to store layout and branding guidelines. • Stock Tracking & Audits: Count physical inventory, update digital inventory databases or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and flag low-stock or out-of-stock items. • Discrepancy Reporting: Investigate stock mismatches, track slow-moving or expired products, and report losses or damage to management
