Maintenance Man

The Maintenance Man is responsible for ensuring that the company’s trucks, trailers, yard, and facilities are kept in good working condition. This role supports daily trucking operations by performing routine maintenance, basic repairs, and general upkeep to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with company standards. Key Duties and Responsibilities: • Perform routine maintenance checks on trucks, trailers, and equipment • Assist with basic mechanical repairs and servicing as needed • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, garage, and work areas • Conduct minor repairs to company buildings, gates, fences, and equipment • Monitor vehicles for safety issues and report major mechanical problems • Perform oil checks, tire inspections, and basic part replacements • Ensure tools and maintenance equipment are properly stored and maintained • Support drivers and management with maintenance-related tasks • Follow workplace safety policies and procedures at all times Qualifications and Skills: • Previous experience in maintenance, trucking, or a similar role preferred • Basic knowledge of truck and trailer maintenance • Ability to use hand tools and basic maintenance equipment • Physically fit and able to perform manual labor • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently • Strong attention to safety and detail Working Conditions: • Outdoor and indoor work environment • May require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods • Flexible hours based on operational needs
