Role-Specific Requirements: • Specialized qualifications in Physical Education, Health Education, Kinesiology, Sports Science, or a related field. • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in physical fitness, sports, health, wellness, and age-appropriate health education. • CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification. • Experience integrating technology into instruction, assessment, and student data tracking. • Experience with inquiry-based or project-based learning approaches preferred. • Coaching, athletics, or extracurricular sports experience preferred. Core Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant subject area from an accredited institution (Master’s preferred). • Valid teaching certificate/license recognized by the Cayman Islands. • Minimum of three years of full-time teaching experience in an accredited school using a US-based or International Baccalaureate curriculum. • Demonstrated experience planning, delivering, and assessing student learning. • Experience managing a classroom environment and supporting student development. • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to curriculum planning. Key Responsibilities: • Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the IB curriculum. • Foster a positive, inclusive, and globally minded classroom environment. • Support student progress through assessment, feedback, and differentiated instruction. • Promote the IB Learner Profile and encourage critical thinking. • Maintain effective classroom management and student wellbeing. • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community. • Participate in school activities, events, and professional development. • Uphold safeguarding standards and school policies.
