Role-Specific Requirements: • Swim instruction experience with a youth-based aquatics program and American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification or equivalent qualification. • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification; instructor-level certification preferred. • Training or experience in progressive, inquiry-based, or student-centered teaching approaches; IB experience preferred. • Training or experience within a US-based curricular framework. • Demonstrated experience teaching aquatic and physical education in a safe and structured environment. Core Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant subject area from an accredited institution (Master’s preferred). • Valid teaching certificate/license recognized by the Cayman Islands. • Minimum of three years of full-time teaching experience in an accredited school using a US-based or International Baccalaureate curriculum. • Demonstrated experience planning, delivering, and assessing student learning. • Experience managing a classroom environment and supporting student development. • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to curriculum planning. Key Responsibilities: • Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the IB curriculum. • Foster a positive, inclusive, and globally minded classroom environment. • Support student progress through assessment, feedback, and differentiated instruction. • Promote the IB Learner Profile and encourage critical thinking. • Maintain effective classroom management and student wellbeing. • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community. • Participate in school activities, events, and professional development. • Uphold safeguarding standards and school policies.
