Description of Job: •Repairs, maintains, and removes roofs and the installation of new ones •Measures roof to calculate the quantities of required materials •Installed vapor barriers and layers of insulation •Inspected composition shingles, slate shingles and metal roofs for leaks •Applies cold process roof coatings •Erected rigging •Determined materials requirements for roof repairs •Inspected problem roofs to find out the best way to repair them •Detects and replaces damaged joists and plywood •Installs shingles, asphalt, metal, or other materials to make the roof watertight Qualifications: Maximum of 5-6 years relevant work experience. Previous experience with the installation of all types of roofing systems. Strong problem-solving skills and high-level workmanship. Must be punctual and willing to work overtime when needed
