Requirements • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrable experience as a jewelry professional in a reputable setting • Comprehensive knowledge of diamonds, gemstones, and precious metals, with expertise in gemstone identification, grading, and appraisal (especially lab-grown diamonds) • Experience managing inventory of precious metals and gemstones • A commitment to the highest standards of quality control and craftsmanship • Ability to collaborate with clients to understand their vision and deliver exceptional bespoke pieces • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues • Exceptional attention to detail and precision • Strong problem-solving abilities and a creative mindset • A proactive approach to staying current with industry trends, techniques, and technologies • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Availability to work weekends and public holidays Education and Certifications A certificate or diploma is required. Certifications from recognized jewelry industry institutions are highly valued, such as: • Gemological Institute of America (GIA) – e.g., Graduate Gemologist (GG), Accredited Jewelry Professional (AJP), Jewelry Design Certificate • International Gemological Institute (IGI) – e.g., Diamond, Gemstone & Jewelry Grading • Jewelers of America (JA) Pre-Employment Requirements Before a job offer is extended, candidates must provide: • Clean police clearance • Clean health and physical (medical) report • Proof of a valid driver's license • Willingness to take a drug test
